Molly Kars—a painter, a sculpture, a gardener and aspiring teacher—born in the suburbs, raised on a ranch, lived in the city, and found solace in the small town of Chico, finally. Having earned a BA in painting at San Francisco State University in 2008, Molly is now working on a life-altering series of portraits that is a culmination of her past—twenty-four years of thought encapsulated into twenty-four portraits. As she works to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become an educator, she is also working to communicate her most personal ideas to the world through a visual dialogue.
